Masdar Digital Dialogue, Live from Abu Dhabi - Wednesday
I'll be covering the World Future Energy Summit in Abu Dhabi next week - an honor and a privilege for TriplePundit and something I hope will produce a lot of interesting stories. The event will be an extraordinary gathering of thousands of people from dozens of countries in the heart of the oil world to discuss the future of renewable energy and many other environmentally related industries. It'll be a veritable who's who of major company representatives, policy makers and world leaders and a treasure trove to report on.
Among the things I'm most looking forward to will be a tour of the (still under construction) Masdar City - an extraordinary showcase of urban planning that aims to be the first large scale, car-free, self-sustaining, zero-waste community of the 21st century.
But first things first...
Our friends at LiveOakMedia have teamed up with Masdar to create a "Digital Dialog and Global Tweetup" on January 19th at at 5:30-8:00pm local time (GMT +4).
Delegates, journalists and social media enthusiasts will be together in one place to discuss and debate the hot stories and key themes emerging from this year’s summit and you can follow along via twitter using the hash tag #TweetMasdar.
If you're in the US, you'll probably be fast asleep during the bulk of the event, but don't let that stop you from sending in questions in advance or reviewing the dialog after the fact.
