In May, news broke that MGM Resorts International, the gaming giant behind some of the most popular casinos on the Las Vegas Strip, planned to leave Nevada's power grid. The business press had a field day. And many Nevadans grew concerned that the exit of such a large presence on the grid would cause an increase in their utility bills.
