HSBC Brunei has given 2500 Brunei dollars ($1470, £830) to the Unicef
Challenge 2005 organized by the Sheraton Utama Hotel to raise funds for
vaccines and vitamins that will go to children worldwide.
This annual event is part of an initiative in which all hotels in the
Asia Pacific region belonging to the Starwood Hotels and Resorts group
are participating. The group aims to raise $50,000 (£28,000) by the end
of the year.
The chair of HSBC’s CSR committee, Hjh Normah bte Hj Ismail, said:
‘With the recent launching of our CSR programme, HSBC Cares, we have
enhanced our participation in this challenge.’
