The Institute of Contemporary Observation in Shenzhen has won an award for sustainable development in China given by the Shell Corporation and the Economic Observer, a Beijing newspaper. The institute was the only workers’ rights group to receive the award. The other winners were six non-governmental organizations and three government agencies.
