Dr Martin Christie has been appointed executive director of Bettercoal, and will lead its global initiative to promote corporate responsibility in the international coal supply chain. Bettercoal was formed by DONG Energy, EDF, Enel, E.ON, GDF SUEZ, RWE and Vattenfall, and aims to support on-the-ground changes that benefit workers, communities, businesses and the environment.
