India, which is soon likely to have the world’s largest population,
will play a vital role in the sustainability of the planet, believes
Björn Stigson, president of the World Business Council for Sustainable
Development, a global coalition of 180 companies.
Stigson was directing his message to India’s large corporates on the
eve of the Delhi Sustainable Development Summit in February. He said:
‘There can be no solution to global sustainable development without
solutions to India’s own sustainable development challenges.’
